Will I speak with Ruchi — not a junior mentor?
Yes, without exception. Every session is personally with Ruchi. No associates, no assistants. The perspective of an IIM A alum who understands what the panels wants what you’re paying for — and you’ll get it from the first minute.
How is this different from a free mock PI from a senior from a B-School?
Senior alumni give you generosity and one perspective — what their panel asked them, what worked for them. Ruchi gives you pattern recognition from 3,000+ interview prep sessions plus the recruiter-side view of what panels are actually selecting for, across hundreds of candidates. Free mocks help; they don’t substitute for trained, paid expertise in the two weeks where everything is decided.
What about WAT and GD? Or is this only PI?
The session covers all three — PI takes most of the session because it’s where the highest leverage is, but the strategy block at the end covers WAT structure (60 minutes, essay-style, current-affairs prompts) and GD strategy (entry, exit, content, composure). The post-session playbook has additional guidance on this.
I have calls from multiple IIMs with different formats. Do I need separate prep for each?
No — the underlying signals panels look for (clarity of motivation, structured thinking, credibility, composure, depth) are consistent across IIM A/B/C, FMS, XLRI, SPJIMR. The format varies slightly (some weight WAT more, some weight GD, some have multiple PI rounds), but the prep transfers cleanly. Ruchi will calibrate to your specific call set.
Should I do this if I'm aiming at ISB / GMAT-based programs instead?
ISB and other GMAT-based one-year MBA programs have a different interview format (closer to global B-school interviews — more conversational, more focused on career goals). Ruchi has prepped candidates for both formats and will calibrate the session. If you’re targeting international programs, then you can book the international MBA interview prep session here.
How does this differ from the MBA Admissions Consulting?
This session is the kickstarter — earlier in the journey, when the questions are bigger and more strategic (should I do an MBA, which schools, how do I build my profile, what’s my timeline). MBA Admissions Consulting is candidates applying for Global Schools, looking for end-to-end support across the entire applications process and essay submissions.
