My admissions consulting is different
My approach to admissions is completely personalised, unique and built to win. I’m one of the only admissions consultants with a perfect 10/10 NPS on Poets&Quants, with a near-perfect success rate across all candidates I work with.
π―
Small cohort β True 1:1 personalisation
Unlike any other admissions consultant, I work in a very small cohort with complete focus on results.
No junior consultants. No hand-offs. No templates. Every call, every essay round, every mock interview is with me directly. I believe this level of involvement drives the success rate on my clients.
π
McKinsey-style storytelling
McKinsey taught me how to take a messy set of experiences and turn it into a sharp value proposition. I bring that same discipline to your application, across your essays, your resume, LOR, interviews β Every part of your story.
We don’t just write essays, we craft a narrative that admissions committees remember.Β
πͺπ»
Built for tough profiles
Reapplicants. Sub-720 GMAT. Late R2 starts. Over-represented pools. The cases other consultants struggle with are the ones I specialise in.Β
I help you find success with all good, bad and ugly part of your profile. 97% of my clients land at least one target-school offer.
πΌ
Beyond admissions: Your career
The admit is the start, not the end. My clients have gone on to McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Goldman Sachs, Bain Capital β partly because we plan for that during the application, not after.
I’ve often helped candidates find Pre-MBA internships, network and succeed beyond our work in admissions.

"Ruchi knows what she's doing, and I'm glad I trusted her"
Ruchi prepped me for 13 schools, out of which I got into 10. She knows what she's doing, and I'm glad I trusted her.
I'd contacted Ruchi because I had immediate deadlines for several schools, and she came through. Ruchi told me exactly what to drill down on based on the requirements of particular schools. Her biggest contribution was solidifying my "why MBA" answer to make it more punchy and relatable. She also explained ways of making my roles and responsibilities at work sound more impactful and came up with certain quantifiable metrics that I could throw in. She gave me a third-person's perspective, which helped me understand how to make my interviews more conversational and less rigid. She even very respectfully told me what was bad about or missing from my answers, and immediately gave me quick-fixes.
Ruchi did all of this while remaining infinitely calm, measured, sweet, empathetic β and quick on her feet. She is an incredible resource to have. She's had a wide experience across schools in different continents, and it shows.
I only applied in R2, and was admitted into Booth with a 50% scholarship. Additionally, I also received offers from Columbia, Kellogg, Darden (50% scholarship, invite to interview for Oculus fellowship), Tepper (60% scholarship), Anderson (50% scholarship), Foster (50% scholarship), Tuck (15K annually), NUS and INSEAD.
Ruchi and I are still in touch, and she even helped edit my resume and sharpen my narrative for consulting recruiting at Booth, which led to two offers at BCG and Bain!

"Best Consultant Who Really Cares About Her Clients. Helped Me Get Into Wharton"
I have spoken to multiple consultants on the journey - but no one has really spent enough time to coach me as much as Ruchi! She took the time to understand my journey, my strengths, and my goals, allowing her to provide tailored guidance that truly resonated with me. This personalized approach made a significant difference in the way I presented myself.
What sets Ruchi apart is her unwavering dedication to her clients. Her insightful feedback, attention to detail, and constructive suggestions helped me refine my answers and articulate my story concisely. Ruchi's ability to provide both positive reinforcement and constructive criticism was invaluable in boosting my confidence and refining my interview skills.
Thanks again Ruchi for your help!

"Ruchi went the extra mile, led to 100% scholarship at Columbia"
My admissions consulting journey with Ruchi was nothing short of transformative. From the very beginning, Ruchi's "idea bank" approach helped me brainstorm and refine my unique story, allowing me to present my experiences in a compelling way. The essay editing and polishing process was meticulous; Ruchi's keen eye for detail ensured that my essays were not only well-written but also authentically reflected my voice.
What truly set this experience apart was Ruchi's involvement and accessibility. She was always available to answer my questions and provide guidance, making me feel supported throughout the entire process. The interview preparation was particularly beneficial, as Ruchi provided insightful feedback that boosted my confidence and helped me articulate my thoughts clearly.
Additionally, her expertise in scholarship opportunities and decision-making was invaluable. Ruchi went the extra mile to ensure I was well-informed about my options, which ultimately led to my full tuition scholarship at Columbia Business School.
Overall, my experience with Ruchi was exceptional. Her personalized approach and dedication made a significant difference compared to other consultants I had considered. I am incredibly grateful for her support, which played a crucial role in my successful admissions journey.

"Kellogg Admit! Ruchi Is Kind, Approachable And Blazing Fast!"
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Ruchi. She is really kind and approachable β and that made it really easy for me to open up, ask questions, and be myself.
What really stood out was how clearly she broke down the process. Instead of just giving me a list of 'do's and don'ts,' she helped me understand what they were actually testing for and how my profile/goals fit the bill with answer-forming.
She also encouraged me to fully embrace my genuine enthusiasm for the school, rather than trying to package myself a certain way. I think that authenticity really came through!
Ruchi is also very accessible (replies blazingly fast!) and has accumulated really helpful resources that she very kindly shares when she sees the need.
Overall, I would highly recommend working with her! Highly recommend working with Ruchi for anything ranging from MBA applications to overall career guidance. She's amazing to work with and genuinely wants the best for you!

The experience of collaborating with Ruchi has been nothing short of spectacular. From the very first day I spoke to her, I started to see how strong my profile was. The whole application journey was very well structured, helping me put my best essays forward with no stress.
She is a master of her art and knows how to amplify one's personal and professional impact.
Highly recommend her.Working with Ruchi was an absolute game-changer. Ruchi's ability to understand my unique strengths and aspirations helped me shape a compelling narrative. Thanks to her, I got the results I deserved. Highly recommend her!

"From Confusion To Clarity To Success With $120,000 In Scholarship!"
Right from the get-go, Ruchi's work ethic impressed me. Her methodical approach to framing ideas allowed me to condense my experience across 6 years into succinct and impactful essays. She would always be available to brainstorm ideas and did not allow me to settle for anything less than perfection in my essays.
Her assistance with interview prep was also super helpful. She gave targeted feedback on my areas of improvement which allowed me to make a lasting impression on interviewers. I ended up with a $120,000 scholarship from CMU Tepper, something beyond my wildest imagination.
In today's uncertain times marked by changes around AI, visa immigration issues, and a choppy job market, I couldn't recommend Ruchi more.

"Ruchi THE ROCKSTAR consultant - Helped me stand out in an overrepresented pool"
Ruchi is an exceptional MBA admissions consultant whose compassionate approach and outstanding listening skills make her stand out in the industry. From the moment our engagement began, she made an honest effort to understand my unique background and aspirations, ensuring that every conversation felt supportive and tailored to my strengths.
Her ability to craft compelling stories truly transformed my application. Ruchi meticulously helped shape my narrative, highlighting elements that resonated with admissions committees even though I belonged to an overrepresented applicant pool. The authenticity and strategic advice she provided enabled my application to stand out, resulting in multiple interview invitations and several offer letters from prestigious MBA programs.
Working with Ruchi was a deeply enriching experience, not just because of her expertise, but also her genuine care for my success. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to maximise their MBA admissions results with the guidance of someone who is not only knowledgeable but also truly invested in her clients' journeys.

"A reapplicant who landed top Offers With 100% Scholarship"
I had already tried the MBA application process before, and I had been unsuccessful. So this time, I knew I needed a mentor and guide to succeed.
This was EXACTLY what I got after I chose Ruchi at Mentoresult. She's the best person to help you reach your full potential in the applications. From the ideation process to essay reviews and submission to interview prep, Ruchi was a strong coach, helping me to present the best version of my candidature to the schools I was applying to. With her help, I was able to create the best possible outcomes, culminating into my 100% scholarship offer at Stern. Thank you so much, Ruchi!

"She is not just an admission counsellor, she is a 360 mentor"
Three things stood out for me about Ruchi, that made me select her as a counsellor and assured my belief later - that I made the right choice.
1. Macro vision - She is not just an admission counsellor, she is a 360 mentor who has a macro vision. Right from my first trial call with her, she made a note of my life and career roadmap, how I see my future and what college/course would make sense for me given my aspirations. Imagine having your admissions consultant who is not ONLY concerned about that college conversion, but also about your career trajectory and where you ought to belong.
2. Collaborative and adaptive - I wanted to work with someone who I can be 100% honest with, someone who is least judgmental and very easy to gel with. I had my doubts about my profile, gmat score, graduation grades, not on right from when I shared my CV. She showed a lot of faith in my caliber and then there was no turning back. Every career decision was revisited and every small win/loss was documented - which helped us frame the best story for me. She quickly realised I have a unique profile, and there on decided how we can play to our strengths.
3. Organised and punctual - I am somebody who likes to be on time, and I needed someone who can be ahead of time. She perfectly fit this attribute. Our calls were always pre planned, our essays always written ahead of deadlines, and the feedbackβs on my essays had TAT of less than 2 days always - which is impeccable. Along with this, as I started getting interview calls (where one really canβt plan ahead of time as we have a v small window to prepare), she was extremely flexible to book calls on urgent basis as well! Win-Win.
Out of 5 schools I worked with her, I cracked 4 schools including 2 With Scholarships.

About Me
Hi, I’m Ruchi, a former management consultant from McKinsey & Co, and founder of Mentoresult. Prior to McKinsey, I completed my MBA from IIM Ahmedabad (India’s #1 business school) and scored 99.99%ile in CAT and 770 in GMAT. I am also a prolific writer and can be found on LinkedIn, where I share articles with my 125,000+ followers on MBA, consulting careers, and professional success. My writing has been read by over 20 million readers.Β
I started Mentoresult after spending years informally helping friends, juniors and strangers on LinkedIn navigate their MBA applications. I saw firsthand how people struggled with information asymmetry while navigating unreliable guides and transactional admissions consulting. So I built Mentoresult around the opposite philosophy: a small cohort, direct access, McKinsey-grade narrative work, and a view that doesn’t end at the admit letter.Β
Over half a decade, I have mentored candidates across 25+ countries, helped unlock $3.5Mn+ in scholarships, ranked as one of the top admissions consultants in the world by P&Q and β most importantly β helped candidates reach their goals, every time. And as a bonus, I made some amazing connections for life with each one of my mentees.

I help every profile succeed
Unlike other admissions consultants, I work with all kinds of profiles – and help you reach success. In our initial discovery call, I will share my profile review and advice to help you set targets.Β
π―
The reapplicant who almost gave up
You applied. You didn’t get in. You’re wondering whether to try again or give up entirely. The trap is repeating last year’s strategy with new essays. The fix is rebuilding the value proposition from the ground up β different angle, different evidence, different ask.
ππ»
The over-represented profile
Indian male engineer. Big-firm consultant. Investment banker. The toughest pools at every M7 β where competence isn’t the differentiator, because everyone has it. The work here isn’t to make you look unique. It’s to surface the unique thing that’s already there but isn’t on the page yet.
π―
The sub-700 (or no GMAT) applicant
Your score is below the median. Or you’re applying GMAT-waived. You’ve been told to retake. Sometimes that’s right β but more often the gap is fixable through narrative weight, not test prep. The score is one input. It’s rarely the deciding one when the rest of the application is sharp.
π°
The Scholarship Seeker applicant
An MBA at full sticker is $250K+. You won’t go without significant funding β and that’s the right call, not a weakness. Scholarship-first strategy is its own discipline: school selection skews differently, essay framing emphasizes different things, interview prep adds explicit fit signals. Five clients in 2025 won 100% scholarships.
π
The career switcher with an unconventional story
Engineering to PE. Operations to consulting. Family business to tech. The “why MBA” is harder to make inevitable when the dots don’t connect linearly. The work is finding the through-line that was always there β usually buried in a side project, a volunteer commitment, or the part of your job you’d quietly redesigned.
β°
The applicant racing the clock
You decided late. Or your circumstances changed. Either way you have weeks, not months. Most consultants will tell you to wait for next year. Sometimes that’s right. Often it isn’t. The right call depends on whether your story is closer to “needs polish” or “needs a rebuild.”

Common questions
Honest answers to what most applicants ask before working together. If you don’t see your question here, the consult is the place to ask.
Will I be working directly with you?
My admissions consulting process is completely bespoke and exclusive – 100% with me, 1:1 and personalised.
There are no junior agents, writers, associates or assistants. I work directly with each person to ensure the highest possible results for each client.Β
How many clients do you take per cycle?
A small cohort β capped so that every client gets unlimited 1:1 time. The average number of candidates is 5 per round, depending on number of schools. Spots fill in advance, so if you’re applying this cycle, the consult is the right next step.
Do you guarantee admission?
No. Anyone who guarantees an MBA admit is either lying or planning to refund you and walk away. What I do guarantee is full effort, unlimited revisions, complete honesty about your odds, and a strategy built on what’s actually worked across 100+ clients.
I'm a reapplicant. Can you still help?
Yes β and reapplicants are some of my favourite clients to work with. Several reapplicants I worked with landed offers with scholarships after working together.
My GMAT is below 700. Is it worth applying?
Often yes. I’ve helped clients land admits and scholarships across top schools with sub-700 (and even sub-655) scores. GMAT waivers are also an option, depending on your profile.Β
Score is one input. The story is bigger.
How does the free consultation work?
30 minutes, on Zoom, directly with me. We talk through your profile, your goals, and whether working together makes sense.
I also share advice on your application and help you refine your goals. We take the next step depending on fit.Β
Do you help with deferred MBA programs (HBS 2+2, GSB Deferred, Yale Silver Scholars)?
Yes β this is a growing part of my practice. The deferred application is a different beast from the standard MBA application and benefits enormously from early planning. Please setup the discovery call and share this detail in the profile section of the form.Β
How is the engagement priced?
Pricing is shared in the discovery call, based on the number of schools. My fee is fairly conservative compared to comparable admissions consultants.Β
Engagements are flat-fee, all-inclusive (essays, interviews, scholarship negotiation, super-pack resources). No per-session fees. No surprise add-ons.
Where are you based? Do you only work with Indian applicants?
I’m based in India, travel extensively and work fully remotely. My clients have applied from 25+ countries β including the US, UK, Singapore, the UAE and across Europe.
I take a small cohort each cycle.
